Rampage Acquire Goaltender Karl Goehring from Manitoba

SAN ANTONIO (March 11, 2009) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that they have acquired goaltender Karl Goehring from the Manitoba Moose. In a separate transaction, the Phoenix Coyotes have reassigned right wing Derek Nesbitt to the Manitoba Moose.

Goehring, 30, holds a 15-9-2 record in 26 games with the Moose this season including a 2.52 goals against average and .906 save percentage. The eighth-year veteran owns a 119-112-22 record in 273 career AHL games with a 2.64 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.

The Apple Valley, Minnesota native played in 23 games with the Rampage during the 2005-06 season and totaled a 4-16-1 record. He spent the majority of last season with the Syracuse Crunch and played in 13 playoff games with a 7-6-0 record.

The 5-foot-8 and 160-pound Goehring played four years of collegiate hockey at the University of North Dakota compiling a 57-18-35 record through 118 NCAA games. He began his first professional season (2001-02) with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL and posted an 11-9-3 record in 23 games.

Nesbitt, 26, has posted six goals and nine assists in 49 games with the Rampage this season. He signed as a free agent with the Rampage July 3, 2008.

The Egmondville, Ontario native is in his fourth professional season tallying 90 goals and 149 assists through 258 games between the ECHL and the AHL. This is his second AHL season were he has combined for 50 points (23 goals, 27 assists) in 95 games between the Rampage and the Rockford IceHogs.
