B-Sens Sign Defenseman Neil Petruic To Standard Player Contract

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators signed today defenseman Neil Petruic to an American Hockey League standard player contract (SPC).

Petruic, 26, has one goal, six assists and 46 penalty minutes in 49 games with Binghamton this season. A native of Regina, Sask., Petruic began the 2008-09 season with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL, where he recorded two goals, two assists and 12 penalty minutes in 14 games.

The B-Sens (34-23-5-3, 76 pts.) look for their third straight road win tonight when they visit the Worcester Sharks (32-28-1-2, 67 pts.), top affiliate to the San Jose Sharks, at 7:05 p.m. Tune into 680 WINR-AM or 1430 WENE-AM 30 minutes before game time for Countdown to Faceoff with Grady Whittenburg, Voice of the B-Sens.
