Houston Aeros News Release

HOUSTON, Texas - Preparedness on the Square is a downtown lunch time event being held tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Located at the Reflecting Pool behind City Hall, it's the perfect venue for attracting downtown workers with a mix of fun and life-saving information. Last year, more than 2000 people spent their lunch hour learning to Be Red Cross Ready, listening to music and playing games.

The Houston Aeros will be on site to continue their partnership this season with the Red Cross which began following Hurricane Ike. The Aero Dynamics will be on hand with the Aeros Slap Shot and giveaway items. Beyond the fun and games, visitors can learn how to create Disaster Supplies Kits, watch demonstrations of First Aid and CPR and learn more about emergency planning to help protect their families and neighborhoods. Click here for directions and to learn more about the event.

The Aeros also have a busy weekend on the ice at Toyota Center with games Friday and Sunday and a trip to San Antonio on Saturday with the playoffs in sight. The Quad City Flames remain in town for Friday's 7:35 p.m. contest after the Aeros beat them 3-1 Tuesday night. It will also be Friday the 13th and superstitions will be revealed; perhaps some things learned at the Red Cross Preparedness on the Square will come in handy. Sunday's 4:05 p.m. game against Rockford has a Career Fair before the game and a Puck Pals autograph session on the ice afterward.

Spring Break Specials are available for the next four home games with $23 Center Ice seats, regularly $32. These specials are great for that time year when the weather warms up and the kids are out of school on their Spring Breaks. If you aren't going on a major trip out of town, the Aeros are a great solution for some affordable fun over the weekends! Call (713) 974-PUCK or click here for more information and to order Spring Break Specials.
