The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders fell to the St. Paul Saints 11-6 in Saturday's afternoon contest. The RailRiders added two homers for 33 on the season, good for second in all of Triple-A.

The RailRiders got on the board first with a solo shot from Rodolfo Duran in the second inning.

Elijah Dunham started the fourth with a double. Andres Chaparro singled him home for a 2-0 lead. Jake Bauers followed with a double to plate Chaparro and a sacrifice fly sent in Bauers himself for a 4-0 advantage.

In the bottom half, Mark Contreras walked to reach and Andrew Stevenson was hit by a pitch. A three-run homer from Ryan LaMarre chipped away at SWB's lead. Another homer from Hernan Perez sent in two more, a five-run frame and took back the lead.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre tied it up in the fifth. Dunham doubled and back-to-back walks loaded the bases. Duran was hit by a pitch to bring a run home to make the score five apiece.

Once again, the Saints added two more for the lead in the fifth, seventh, and eighth. The Saints capitalized on three RailRiders errors and nine walks throughout the contest. SWB outhit St. Paul 12-7.

SWB started attempted to start a rally in the ninth with a leadoff homer from Wilmer Difo. The RailRiders loaded the bases, but couldn't bring a run across ending it 11-6 Saints.

Sean Boyle pitched the first three frames quick and clean. In the fourth, the starter let up five runs on three hits and three walks. Shawn Semple (L, 0-1) made his season debut getting out of the fourth with a strikeout. Semple let up two runs both unearned. Matt Krook also allowed two unearned runs, but struck out the side in the sixth. Matt Bowman tossed 1.2 innings giving up two runs, one earned.

Louie Garland got the start tossing 4.2 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits. He struck out eight. Austin Schulfer (W, 2-0) threw 1.1 clean innings. Jordan Balazovic added a 1-2-3 frame of his own. Connor Sadzeck pitched the eighth and ninth giving up just a solo homer.

The RailRiders take on the Saints tomorrow at CHS Field. Righty Randy Vasquez gets the ball for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre with a 3:07 P.M. (EDT) first pitch.
