
Playoff Bound Captains Return Home to Wrap up First Half Play

Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, return home for the final three games of the first half hosting the Lansing Lugnuts, an affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.
This Friday, the first 1,000 kids, 12 and under, receive a Captains Replica Jersey presented by Stanley Steemer. It is Asian Pacific American Heritage night presented by Tiger Beer, featuring cultural performers, Asian cuisine and a display from the Asian Pacific American Heritage Museum. The Captains will have their first Faith night of the year presented by The Fish 95.5 FM, featuring a post-game concert in the left field picnic plaza. A fireworks extravaganza follows the 7 PM game presented by Plevin and Gallucci and Boy Scouts will be spending the night on the outfield as part of Boy Scout Night.
Saturday's game features the annual Guns 'N Hoses charity softball game which will pit the Lake County fire fighters against Lake County law enforcement agencies. Gates open at 2:30 and the softball game begins at 3 PM. Saturday is also Irish Heritage night presented by Murphy's Irish Red, featuring pre-game Irish entertainment, a traditional Irish Toast and Irish Heritage Museum display. Saturday is a "Silent Auction Saturday" giving fans the opportunity to bid on various pieces of baseball memorabilia in a silent auction and also purchase raffle tickets for other prizes. Proceeds will benefit the Lake County Red Cross and Captains Charities. A fireworks show will follow the 7 PM game presented by Discount Drug Mart.
Sunday is Father's Day and a Family Fun Sunday presented by Andrews Osborne Academy, featuring a pre-game player autograph session, lots of concourse entertainment and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game. Fathers and their children can play catch on the field prior to the game from 12:15 - 12:45. In addition, kids who are part of Skipper's Lil' Buddies Club will have the opportunity to announce players over the public address system and participate in other activities exclusively for Club members.
Sunday is also Indians Affiliate Day as the Captains welcome Indians Minor League Affiliates from Columbus, Akron, Mahoning Valley as well as the Cleveland Indians to Classic Park. There will be information about the different teams available as well appearance by their mascots, including the Indians' Slider!
TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Fans may visit CaptainsBaseball.com for information on alternate routes to and from Classic Park during the current construction that is taking place on Route 91. The Captains are working with the City of Eastlake and ODOT to ensure the smoothest possible traffic flow for fans attending games at Classic Park until the construction is completed.
