
Mike Kenney Added to All-Star Team, Trout in HR Derby

Cedar Rapids, IA - Kernels reliever Mike Kenney was added to the MWL Western Division All-Star team to take the place of Jeremy Berg, who was promoted to Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday.
In 13 relief appearances for the Kernels, Kenney is 1-0 with a 0.52 ERA and four saves. In 17.1 IP, he allowed a run on six hits with only two walks against 15 strikeouts and the league is batting .105 against him.
Kenney joins teammates Mike Trout, Jean Segura, Casey Haerther, Tyler Skaggs, Garrett Richards and Fabio Martinez on the West squad.
Mike Trout has been selected to take part in the Home Run Derby, part of the MWL All-Star Summer Classic festivities on Monday night at Parkview Field in Fort Wayne. Eight MWL All-Stars have been selected: Matt Davidson of South Bend, Nate Freiman of Fort Wayne, Jerry Sands of Great Lakes, Henry Rodriguez of Dayton, Matt Adams of Quad Cities, Khris Davis of Wisconsin and Nick Franklin of Clinton. Trout leads the Kernels with six home runs.
