Pittsburgh Penguins assign goaltender Jean-Sebastien Aubin to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL)

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins today assigned goaltender Jean-Sebastien Aubin to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The announcement was made by Penguins' Executive Vice President and General Manager Craig Patrick.

Aubin, 25, has played in 21 games this season with the Penguins, posting a record of 6-13-0 with a 3.13 goals against average and a .900 save percentage. Aubin last played on January 25th in a 5-3 win vs. Chicago, making 23 saves.

The 5'11" and 180-pound native of Montreal, Quebec was drafted by the Penguins in the third round (76th overall) of the 1995 Entry Draft. Aubin has played in 146 career games, all with the Penguins, posting a record of 59-63-11 with a 2.91 goals against average and five career shutouts.

He will join the Penguins on Friday in Ohio as they begin a three-game road trip in Cleveland against Barons at 7:05 p.m. at Gund Arena. After Friday's game, the Penguins then travel to Cincinnati for two games against the Mighty Ducks. The Penguins will play the Mighty Ducks on Saturday (7:35 p.m. start) and then on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. at Cincinnati Gardens.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (26-25-5-4, 61 points; Third-place, South Division) host the Binghamton Senators (30-20-7-1, 68 points; Second-place, East Division) tonight at 7:05 p.m. at the First Union Arena at Casey Plaza.
