
Team Poster Giveaway & Chuck A Puck Friday

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The first five-thousand fans who enter the game when the American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, host the Hershey Bears this Friday at 7:35 p.m. at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard will receive a Sound Tigers team poster courtesy of the Connecticut Post. WTNH TV News Channel 8 will also present the first-ever Sound Tigers "Chuck-A-Puck" during one of the intermissions Friday, and wives, fiancées and girlfriends of the Sound Tigers will present proceeds from the "Holiday Candy Gram" and "Send A Valentine To Your Favorite Sound Tiger" fundraisers to the Kennedy Center prior to the game.
The Sound Tigers will also host the Albany River Rats this Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
Police Officers and Firefighters who show their badge at the Harbor Yard box office or in advance at the Sound Tigers office may purchase tickets for this weekend's games at a discounted price. Saturday will also be "Trumbull Appreciation Night" with discounted tickets for town residents who show proof of residency at the Harbor Yard box office, and First Selectman Raymond Baldwin, Jr. dropping the puck for a ceremonial pregame face-off. There will also be a second-intermission MasterCard mini-hockey game featuring teams from the Darien Youth Hockey Association and the Stamford Youth Hockey Association Saturday.
