
Pigs continue their winning ways on the road

Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
(Moosic, PA) - Didi Gregorius had a strong showing in his first game on Major League Rehab as he led the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (26-23) to a 7-3 win over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (18-30). He finished 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBI, one walk, and one run scored.
Gregorius homered on the first pitch of the game from Hayden Wesneski (1-5) to give Lehigh Valley a 1-0 lead. The 'Pigs proceeded to score six more runs against Wesneski in the top of the second inning.
Rafael Marchan, also on Major League Rehab, plated Yairo Munoz for the first run of the inning. Gregorius struck again with a sacrifice fly that scored Nick Maton. Austin Wynns followed with a two-run double that scored Scott Kingery and Dustin Peterson. Darick Hall hit a two-run home run that scored Wynns and gave him his 15th home run of the season.
Corey Oswalt pitched three scoreless innings to start the game. James Marvel (2-5) followed with three scoreless innings in relief earning him his first win in a relief role this season. Zach Warren did allow two runs the bottom of the seventh inning, while Mark Appel gave up a run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Francisco Morales pitched a scoreless bottom of the ninth inning to finish the game for Lehigh Valley.
Wynns extended his on-base streak to 24 games while Peterson extended his hitting streak to five games.
The IronPigs and RailRiders continue their series on Wednesday evening at PNC Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
