(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) --Center fielder Adam Haseley had a game he'll never forget.

Haseley tied a team record with an eight-RBI game to help lead the Charlotte Knights past the Memphis Redbirds by a score of 14-7 on Tuesday night in the opening game of a six-game series from Truist Field. Haseley recorded two home runs, including a grand slam in the seventh inning to have a career night at the plate. Overall, he went 4-for-5 with three runs scored, two home runs, one stolen base and eight RBIs -- the most RBIs by a Knights player in a game in franchise history tying Randy Knorr (1998) and Jeff Liefer (1999).

For Haseley, it was his second two-homer game over an impressive three-game stretch. The Charlotte outfielder recorded a two-homer game on May 28 against the Durham Bulls. He now has four home runs over his last three games.

In addition to Haseley's career performance, the Knights combined to record 14 runs on 17 hits en route to a commanding game-one win. Shortstop Romy González, who was activated off the injured list before the game, launched a 424-foot home run in the bottom of the third inning. The home run, a solo shot, was his second of the season.

Charlotte left fielder Blake Rutherford also had a solid day at the plate. Rutherford went 3-for-5 with two runs scored.

RHP J.B. Olson started the game for the Knights on Tuesday and did not allow a run over two scoreless innings. LHP Kyle Kubat (3-1, 5.68) earned the win out of the bullpen as he pitched two scoreless innings in relief of Olson.

The Knights will continue the series against the Memphis Redbirds (Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals) on Wednesday night with a 6:35 p.m. game from Uptown Charlotte. The game can also be heard live on 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte and www.CharlotteKnights.com. The "Voice of the Charlotte Knights" Matt Swierad and long-time broadcaster Mike Pacheco will have the call for all of the action.
