Peverley Signed Helmet and Ovechkin Signed Puck Headline Pink in the Rink Silent Auction

South Carolina Stingrays News Release


North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, proudly announce the 2nd Annual Pink in the Rink Night this Saturday, March 1st where the Stingrays will help raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Festivities for the night begin at 4 p.m. with Hockey 101 where Stingrays players will be demonstrating puck handling skills and teaching some of the basics of hockey. Hockey 101 is open to all individuals that have purchased a Pink Pack through the Stingrays front office. For just $30 you can purchase a Pink Pack that includes a ticket to the game, a specialty pink t-shirt, and admittance into Hockey 101. Five dollars from every Pink Pack will be donated back to the American Cancer Society. Can't make it out to Hockey 101? Purchase a $25 Pink Pack, which includes a ticket to the game and the specialty pink t-shirt, and $3 from each of those packs will be donated back to the ACS. Both Pink Packs are currently on sale by calling the Stingrays front office at 744-2248.

Following Hockey 101, your South Carolina Stingrays will be taking on the Columbia Inferno at 7:05 p.m. The Stingrays will be wearing specialty pink jerseys that will be auctioned off as part of the silent auction with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. The silent auction will be located outside Section 110 in the Coliseum and offers fans a variety of items to bid on including a Stingrays jersey signed by Wayne Gretzky and a Nashville Predators helmet signed by former Stingray Rich Peverley. Come out and help support your South Carolina Stingrays and the American Cancer Society. Individual fundraising tickets can be purchased online at www.stingrayshockey.com. Four dollars from each ticket purchased online will be donated back to the ACS.
