COLUMBIA, S.C. (Feb. 29, 2008)-The Columbia Inferno (25-22-4-6, 60 points) fell to the Gwinnett Gladiators (34-15-2-3, 73 points) 2-0 on Friday night, snapping a three game winning streak.

The Glads jumped out to an early lead as Jamie Milam scored just 49 seconds into the opening frame. Jeff Campbell carried the puck into the defensive zone and dished the puck to Milam who sent a low wrister from the high slot that eluded Todd Ford.

After a scoreless second, the Gladiators added an insurance goal about five minutes into the third period. Lou Dickenson scored his 28th goal of the season when he converted a 2-on-1 pass from Brad Schell and beat a helpless Ford on his glove side.

Ford stopped 30 of 32 while Kowalski stopped all 26 Inferno shots for his first shutout since he and the Florida Everblades beat the Inferno 1-0 on March 23, 2007.
