About Kina (Thanks to Alisa Feinstein, Vice President, Account Supervisor, Ketchum Public Relations, Venice Ca. for providing background info on Kina Grannis)

Kina Grannis creates music that is soothing with an inspirational quality that draws you into her world. Most comfortable with a guitar in hand, Kina has aspired to be a singer/song writer ever since childhood. Now, at age 22, she is beginning to fulfill her lifelong dream of turning that passion into a profession. While living in Austin, TX in the fall of 2007, she entered the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl challenge - an online contest among unsigned artists hoping for a chance to be discovered. After submitting her original song, "Message From Your Heart," fans voted Kina the winner, granting her a professional music video that received 60 seconds of air time during Super Bowl XLII and a record deal with Interscope Records. Doritos provided this stage in an effort to showcase her talent.
