
Menei's Lone Goal Give Sea Wolves Reversal Of Fortune

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves shutout the Charlotte Checkers 1-0 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Friday evening.
Ryan Menei potted the only goal of the game when he picked up the rebound of a shot from Jason Tejchma at 8:34 of the first period to give the Sea Wolves the lead.
"What the fans got to see tonight was the best the team has to offer," said head coach Steffon Walby. "Every guy out there put in his full effort, they played a full 60 minutes, put in a great performance, and rewarded themselves and the fans with a win."
The Sea Wolves Menei's lone goal stand up, killing off nine Charlotte power plays, while Ryan Munce made 30 saves, including 16 in the third period, to earn the win. Mississippi was 0-for-6 on the power play.
The Sea Wolves are home again on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. against the Charlotte Checkers.
NOTE: Fans attending games should allow extra time to arrive at the arena and park due to construction on U.S. 90 in Biloxi.
