STOCKTON, Calif. - Goaltender Maxime Daigneault made 23 saves and forward Mathieu Aubin had the first hat trick of his career to help the Cincinnati Cyclones send the Stockton Thunder (22-30-3, 47 points) to a 5-0 loss before a crowd of 4,409 at Stockton Arena on Thursday night.

The Thunder loss snapped a three-game win streak, while the Cyclones extended their win streak to an ECHL-record 16 consecutive games; becoming just the second team in the Thunder's three year history to register a shutout on Stockton Arena ice.

Aubin scored first goal of the game and 17th of the season at the 3:24 mark for a 1-0 Cincinnati lead, assisted by Oliver Latendresse and Jason Deitsch. Aubin beat Boron to the glove side on a one-timed tap-in that was set-up by Latendresse's pass from the left circle.

Forward Matt Syroczynski put Cincinnati ahead 2-0 with his 22nd goal of the season, assisted by David Desharnais and Thomas Beauregard, with the goal coming at the 10:19 mark. Desharnais stretched his ECHL record assist streak to 19 consecutive games with a pass from the right corner that found a cutting Syroczynski at the high slot. Syroczynski streaked down the middle and beat Boron with a wrist shot under the crossbar.

In the second period the Cyclones extended their lead to 3-0 on a clean slapshot by Mathieu Aubin, his second of the game and his 18th of the season at the 14:04 mark. Aubin drew traffic in front of Boron and buried a shot from the left circle, set-up on a cross-ice pass from Latendresse.

The Cyclones struck again at the 5:52 mark in the third, making the score 4-0 on Aubin's hat trick goal and 19th of the season. Latendresse pounced on a turnover at the right corner and set up Aubin in the slot, who proceeded to slip a wrist shot past the glove of Boron.

The Cyclones padded their lead to 5-0 on Gerard Miller's fourth goal of the season with 11:35 elapsed on a wrist shot from the mid-slot.

Latendresse finished the game with an ECHL career-high four assists.
