ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Derek Damon has been activated off the 7-day injured reserve list.

Damon, who is tied for the team lead in points with 52 has been out of action since suffering an injury on February 12 in Florida's 5-1 win over the Augusta Lynx at Germain Arena. The 27-year-old has 19 goals and 33 assists in 35 games, for an average of nearly a point and a half per game this season with the Everblades.

The Bangor, Maine native has also seen action in the American Hockey League this season with the Albany River Rats where he registered five points (2g, 3a) in 15 games. Now in his second full professional season, Damon has already set career high's for goals (21), assists (36) and points (57). The former University of Maine product recently recorded his 100th career point on February 2 at Texas. Damon returns to the Everblades lineup having tallied a point in 11 of his last 13 games.
