Atlanta Gladiators News Release

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have signed defenseman Brad Peddle.

The St. John's, Newfoundland native played overseas for the Bracknell Bees of the British International Super League for the past two seasons where he accumulated 41 points in 79 games. His 29 points last season was a Bees' team high among defensemen.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound defenseman is no stranger to the Gladiators organization having played for the Mobile Mysticks during the 2000-01 season. Peddle was acquired by the Mysticks during the 00-01 season in a trade with J.P. O'Connor from the Jackson Bandits.

"Brad is a solid defenseman," said Gladiators Head Coach Jeff Pyle, "and will fit right in to our line up. He already knows our systems having played for us in Mobile."

Peddle put up stellar number on defense averaging about a point per game for four seasons with St.-Francis Xavier University, a member of the Canadian Interuniversity Athletic Union prior to joining the Jackson Bandits for his rookie campaign during the 1999-2000 season.

Peddle will be available for Thursday's 7:05 p.m. match up with the Columbus Cottonmouths at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
