Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors are preparing for a busy three-game weekend, as they return to home ice for the first time since October 25th. They will play in Las Vegas on Friday to end a four-game road trip and return home for a pair of matches at Centennial Garden on Saturday and Sunday.

They take on the Las Vegas Wranglers for the second time this season, having dropped the first meeting 4-2 in the desert. The game can be heard on KGEO AM 1230 and live online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com. Game time is 7:00pm, with the "Condors Countdown" pregame show starting at 6:45pm.

The Condors return in front of the hometown crowd on Saturday, November 8th for a 7:00pm start against the Alaska Aces. That night, the Condors will host the first Jersey Off Our Backs Raffle and Auction of the season, sponsored by KUZZ 107.9, and will don special USA Veterans Day jerseys. The commemorative jerseys will be auctioned off after Saturday's match, with the proceeds benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Throughout the night and after the game, five of the jerseys will also be raffled off, with everyone in attendance eligible to win.

Tying in with the Veterans Day theme, this is also Military Appreciation Weekend. Members of the military can purchase tickets at a special rate of two-for-one in any seating area by presenting a Military I.D. Card for both games, based on seating availability. Fans can also receive $2 off admission by presenting their Bakersfield Californian Press Pass, limit two per pass.

On Sunday, the first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles will receive a Condors Pennant, sponsored by the Spanish Radio Group and Rio Bravo Country Club. Sunday's match against the Florida Everblades is also the first against an East Coast opponent, and Florida ranks as one of the top clubs in the Eastern Conference. Game time is 5:00pm, with doors opening at 4:00pm.

Participants in the Kern County Library summer reading program, "Readers of the Round Table," sponsored by the Condors and KGET-TV 17, obtained complimentary tickets for both Saturday and Sunday night by reading 10 books over the summer months. Sunday's match is also a T.H.I.N.K. Night, with students earning tickets through exceptional performance. Turning Hockey Into New Knowledge is an incentive-based program for students in elementary and middle school that the Condors will hold all season long. As well as a T.H.I.N.K Night, the night is Spanish Radio & El Californiano Discount Night. Fans who purchase any level ticket can receive a free child ticket by presenting the coupon on the front of this week's El Californiano or by presenting a voucher distributed by the Spanish Radio Group.

Before the game, starting at 4:00pm, come out early and enjoy Spanish Radio & El Californiano's Fiesta Sunday on the Garden Plaza. There will be bounce houses, live music and entertainers for the kids to get everyone warmed up for the night's action.

The Condors will be talking hockey on KGEO tonight, with "The Condors Coach's Show", normally live from the Holiday Inn Select. However, with the team on the road Thursday, the show will be pre-recorded, and immediately follow the Los Angeles Kings game (which starts at 4:00pm) on KGEO AM 1230.
