ATLANTIC CITY, NJ -The Trenton Titans took down the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies 2-1 at Boardwalk Hall in the first game of their home and home series. Mathieu Brunelle put the Titans go the Titans on the board at 11:32 of the first period with his first goal of the season. Brunelle's centering pass to Bryce Coburn deflected off the skate of Bullies goalie, Scott Sterling, into the net, putting the Titans up 1-0.

The Titans would extend their lead in the second period on Joe Rybar's second goal of the season. Rybar jumped on a loose puck in the slot and fired it past a sprawled Stirling to make it 2-0.

The Boardwalk Bullies, however, would answer at 15:05 of the second period when Jim Henkel sent a perfect centering pass into the slot and John Sabo slammed it past Andrew Allen to cut the Titan's lead in half 2-1. The goal was Sabo's first of the season.

The third period did not provide any scoring for either team, but the Bullies would put enormous pressure on the Titans for the last three minutes of play. Preston Mizzi almost tied it up at 2:32 of the final frame when his rebound attempt got by Allen, but the puck trickled just wide of the far post.

The Trenton Titans complete their home and home series with Atlantic City as they host the Boardwalk Bullies on tonight, November 7 at 7:30pm. The Titans take on the Johnstown Chiefs on Saturday, November 8 at 7:00pm. The first 2000 fans will receive pompoms courtesy of the Trentonian.
