
ECHL Honors Las Vegas' Greg Day with Sher-wood Player of the Month Award

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the ECHL has named Wranglers' center Greg Day with the ECHL Sher-wood Player of the Month award for the month of October. Day also finished runner-up for the Plus Performer of the month award. Las Vegas won three of the four monthly awards for the ECHL with winger Justin Kelly (Plus Performer) and goalie Marc Magliarditi (Saver of the Month) also taking home monthly honors.
Day led the league with 10 assists in the first month of the season, and the St, Clair Beach, ONT native also finished second in the league with 13 points in seven games. Las Vegas was 5-1-1 for the month of October. Day's greatest performance for the month of October was in the season-opening 5-3 win at Idaho. Day scored twice and assisted on two others notching four points in one game. The 26-year-old center finished second behind teammate Justin Kelly with a +8 rating for the month. Day currently is second in the ECHL with 17 points in 10 games. His 14 assists lead the league.
The Wranglers complete their eight-game home stand Friday night against the Bakersfield Condors at 7:05. The first 2,000 fans through the gates of the Orleans Arena will receive a Wranglers' License Plate holder. The Wranglers' will also wear commemorative Veteran's Day jerseys to be auctioned off for charity after the game.
