Pats Begin Six Game Homestand

Regina, Sask. - Tonight is Halloween Night at the Brandt Centre, as the Regina Pats (3-7-0) begin a six game homestand with the finale of their home-and-home against the Swift Current Broncos (2-6-2) at 7:00 p.m.

These two clubs last met on Friday in Swift Current, with the Pats defeating the Broncos 4-1, snapping the Pats seven game losing-streak. The loss for the Broncos extends their losing-streak to eight games (0-5-2).

The Pats scored two unanswered goals in the second and two more in the third after they trailed after 20 minutes, recording their first comeback win of the season. Cole Dubinsky and Zack Stringer scored twice, while Zack Smith tallied two assists and Matthew Kieper made 27 saves on 28 shots for his third win of the season. The Pats set a season single game high in shots on net, outshooting the Broncos 48-28 for a +20 shot differential which is the highest shot differential this season. Regina also scored their first power play goal in four games, going 1-for-4 on the man-advantage.

8: Number of points (1G-7A) for Regina Pats defenceman Ryker Evans is tied for sixth amongst defenceman in in the WHL, while his seven assists ranks tied for fifth...the Calgary, AB, native also ranks tied for second among defencemen in power play points with four.

50: Number of shots on goal for Regina Pats forward Connor Bedard leads the WHL...the Vancouver native is averaging 5 shots on net per contest this season and holds an 8.0% shooting percentage, along with with four goals and seven points in 10 games.
