
Parros Recalled, Welch Loaned To Reading

MANCHESTER, NH â The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled right wing George Parros from the Reading Royals of the ECHL and loaned right wing Dan Welch to the Royals, Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced on Monday. Parros, 24, has appeared in three games with the Royals this season, scoring no points and registering nine penalty minutes. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound native of Randolph, New Jersey and eighth-round selection of the Kings (222nd overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft has yet to appear in a Monarchs game this season. In 66 career American Hockey League games â all with the Monarchs â Parros has 10 points (3-7=10) and 133 penalty minutes.
Welch, 23, has appeared in two games with the Monarchs this season, scoring one point (0-1=1) and registering zero penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11, 193-pound native of Hastings, Minnesota and eighth-round selection of the Kings (245th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft has yet to appear in a Royals game this season. In 75 career AHL games â all with the Monarchs â Welch has 25 points (9-16=25) and 40 penalty minutes.
Monarchs Practice Schedule:
The Monarchs are scheduled to practice at the Tri-Town Ice Arena in Hooksett, New Hampshire on Tuesday, November 2 and Wednesday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m. before returning to the Verizon Wireless Arena for a 10:30 a.m. practice on Thursday, November 4 and a 10:00 a.m. practice on Friday, November 5. All practices at the Tri-Town Ice Arena are open to the public.
The undefeated Monarchs (7-0-0-0) return to action when they travel to Worcester to meet the Worcester IceCats (5-2-0-0) on Friday, November 5 at 7:05 p.m. Friday's game will be the third of three straight on the road for the Monarchs, who return to the Verizon Wireless Arena to meet the Albany River Rats on Saturday, November 6 at 7:35 p.m. Catch all of the play-by-play action with Ken Cail on the Monarchs Radio Network (WGIR-AM 610, Manchester; WGIN-AM 930, Rochester; WGIP-AM 1540, Exeter; WTSL-AM 1400, Lebanon) and at www.monarchshockey.com.
Ticket Availability: Single seats in the Gold level and 1,500 seats in the Silver level remain for the Monarchs game against the River Rats on November 6. The first 5,000 fans attending the game will receive a Monarchs T-shirt courtesy of Crowley Foods.
