Cincinnati RailRaiders News Release

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Cincinnati goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov, who went 4-1-0 with a 2.33 goals-against average and .928 save percentage in five games, was named Provident Bank Mighty Ducks Player of the Month for October.

For the month, Bryzgalov played 309 minutes, allowed only 12 goals and stopped 154 of the 166 shots he faced. The 24-year-old Russian stopped 31 shots or more in each of his four victories in October, including a season-high 38 saves in a 2-1 overtime shootout win October 24 vs. Rochester. His four wins in October were just one shy of the franchise-record of five for the month, set by Jean-Sebastien Giguere in 2000-01.

This is the fourth time in Bryzgalov's career he has been named the Mighty Ducks Player of the Month. He was previously named the recipient of the award in January 2003, October 2003 and February 2004.

In recognition of his achievement, Bryzgalov will be presented with a plaque from Provident Bank prior to an upcoming Mighty Ducks home game.

Provident Bank, a National City Company, provides a diverse line of banking and financial products, services and solutions through retail banking offices located in Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky, and through commercial lending offices located throughout Ohio and surrounding areas.
