
P-Bruins fall in tight battle at Manchester

The Providence Bruins and Manchester Monarchs faced off on Saturday night in Manchester, with the Monarchs taking a hard-fought 2-1 decision. Providence is 16-12-8-0 on the season (40 points), putting them one point behind the Atlantic Division-leading Hartford Wolf Pack.
Bruin right wing Carl Corazinni notched his 10th goal of the season on a second period power play, tying him with teammate Pat Leahy for the team goal-scoring lead. Corazzini has scored a goal in three straight games.
Goaltender Tim Thomas stopped 33 shots and is 7-6-5 on the season.
The Bruins play the second game of their three-game road trip on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m., when they take on the Lowell Lock Monsters. All the action will be broadcast live on WDDZ AM-550. The Bruins return home to host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, January 16 at 7:05 p.m.
