Ouzas Named Goaltender of the Month

Las Vegas, NV - The ECHL announced today that Las Vegas Wranglers© goaltender Michael Ouzas has been named the ECHL Goaltender of the Month for November.

Ouzas was 4-0-1 with one shutout, a 1.36 goals-against average and a .955 save percentage in five appearances for Las Vegas in November, helping the Wranglers to a 7-1-2 record. He opened the month making 30 saves in a 4-3 victory over the Utah Grizzlies on Nov. 6. After making 31 saves in a 4-2 win over Victoria on Nov. 11 and 15 saves in 3-1 win against the Salmon Kings on Nov. 12, Ouzas closed out his month with 42 saves in a 1-0 shutout against Stockton on Nov. 24.

The 25-year-old currently leads the ECHL with a goals against average of 1.72 and a save percentage of .942.

Ouzas, a native of Hamilton, Ontario, has played in 96 ECHL games for Fresno, Reading and Las Vegas, earning an ECHL career record of 43-42-6 with 5 shutouts, a goals-against average of 3.10 and a save percentage of .903. He appeared in one game with Houston of the AHL this season, making 13 saves in 31 minutes played.

The Las Vegas Wranglers© are the ECHL affiliate to the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes and the American Hockey League's San Antonio Rampage.
