
Collins Leads Las Vegas to Victory

Las Vegas, Nev.-The Las Vegas Wranglersé defeated the Utah Grizzlies 3-2 at the Maverik Center led by a two-goal performance from forward Greg Collins. Joe Fallon tallied his fourth win of the season turning away 35 of 37 shots. The Wranglers' 44 shots are the most registered all season. Center Ryan Huddy also scored for Las Vegas as the Wranglers improve to 10-4-2. Brett Parnham and Tim Crowder tallied goals for Utah as goaltender Jean-Philippe Lamoureux earned his third regulation loss of the season. Both teams were able to tally on their identical six power play opportunities.
Utah's Brett Parnham started the action at 6:43 of the first period with assists from Simon Ferguson and Nick Tuzzolino. The Wranglers were able to find the net twice in the period and took a one-goal lead into the first intermission. Ryan Huddy tied the game at the 9:44 mark with a power play goal assisted by defenseman Craig Switzer. The Wranglers went ahead at 17:43 when Greg Collins found the back of the net with assists from Blair Riley and Geoff Paukovich
Neither team was able to score in the second period as both goaltenders turned away a combined 29 shots.
Utah tied the game at 9:49 of the third period with a power play goal from Tim Crowder assisted by Matt Clarke and Tyler Ruegsegger. Greg Collins' second goal of the night assisted by Justin Bernhardt and Dan Bertram at 15:35 earned Las Vegas the win.
The Wranglers head to Ontario on Wednesday to wrap up their current seven game road stretch before returning home to host Idaho on December 10th and 11th.
The Las Vegas Wranglersé are the ECHL affiliate to the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes and the American Hockey League's San Antonio Rampage.
