Oilers' Bermingham Selected To All-Star Squad

Tulsa Oilers left winger Jason Bermingham has been selected as a reserve for the Northern Conference in the 2003-2004 CHL All-Star Game, to be held Thursday, January 22nd, at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Bermingham, the 6-1, 195-pound sniper from Montreal, is tied for 5th in the CHL with 19 goals, and leads the Oilers with 35 points, a +14 rating, and 126 shots on goal. The 26-year-old has four game-winning goals and two four-point efforts to his credit this year. He racked up two goals and two assists in a 5-3 win over Memphis on November 21st, and had a 4-goal game against the RiverKings on December 12th.

Jason is making his first CHL All-Star Game appearance, and joins the following forwards on the team: Greg Pankewicz, Colorado; Don Parsons, Memphis; Mike Oliveira, New Mexico; Chad Spurr, Bossier-Shreveport; Ryan Tobler, Colorado; Chad Woollard, Fort Worth; Jason Baird, Indianapolis; Chris Richards, New Mexico.

The defensive corps consists of Bernie John, Indianapolis; Hardy Sauter, Oklahoma City; Craig Minard, Bossier-Shreveport; Brad Williamson, Colorado; Derek Landmesser, Memphis; and Tyler Fleck, Oklahoma City. The goaltenders will be Ken Carroll of Bossier-Shreveport and Nathan Grobins of Wichita.

The Tulsa Oilers return to action with three home games this week. The Oilers host Indianapolis on Tuesday, Wichita on Friday, and Oklahoma City on Saturday. Individual game tickets can be purchased at the Oilers ticket office, at Carson Attractions, in the Tulsa Convention Center, plus the Drug Mart locations in Tulsa, Owasso, and Broken Arrow.
