Las Vegas - With three Las Vegas Wranglers scoring their first goals of the season, the team split a two-game series with the Idaho Steelheads and won 4-1 tonight.

Midway through the second period, Wranglers forward Josh Lunden tallied his first goal of the season to give Las Vegas a 1-0 lead, with assists coming from defenseman Jason Krischuk and center Ash Goldie. Seven minutes later, at the 14:13 mark, Goldie netted his own first goal of the season with Wranglers center Adam Miller and Krischuk on the assists, and the team went up 2-0. With 11 seconds left in the frame, Wranglers forward Scott Campbell secured a power play goal to end the second 3-0 in favor of Las Vegas. Goldie and Lunden were credited with the assists.

Four minutes into the third, Wranglers defenseman and captain Mike Madill notched his first goal of the season on a power play with help from center Chris Francis and forward Eric Lampe, bringing the score to 4-0. To save the Steelheads from a shutout, Idaho forward Jacob Cepis secured a goal with five minutes left in the game to make the final score tonight 4-1. Goldie and Lunden were awarded two of the three Three Stars for tonight's efforts, and Idaho goaltender Jerry Kuhn received the third for facing 111 shots in the two-game series.
