Gerald Coleman made 29 saves for his co-ECHL leading second shutout of the year, and first and second period goals were more than enough for the Alaska Aces in a 2-0 win over the Bakersfield Condors at Rabobank Arena on Friday night. The Aces record improved to 14-4-2. Alaska has earned points eight straight games, and 11 of their last 12. Alaska has claimed 12 of a possible 14 points so far on their eight-game road swing. The Aces finish their lengthy road trip with a rematch with the Condors on Saturday night. They return to the Sullivan Arena on December 7th, kicking off a six-game home stand against the Utah Grizzlies. Tickets are on sale now. The Aces scored the only goal of the first period, when Wes Goldie lifted a backhand over Bryan Pitton at 6:59 of the opening frame for his fourth goal in the last five games. Both teams had additional quality scoring chances, combining for 24 shots, but the score remained 1-0 Alaska at first intermission.

The score stayed that way late into the second period until Tyler Ruegsegger scored on a rebound at 17:41 to extend Alaska's advantage to 2-0. The Condors outshot the Aces 10-7 in the middle frame, but the Aces took the two goal lead into the final frame.

Coleman made nine more saves in the third period to complete the shutout, and the Aces held off the Condors for the 2-0 win.

Gerald Coleman (12-3-1) earned the win, making 29 saves on 29 shots, and Bryan Pitton (2-9-1) made 26 saves on 28 shots, taking the loss. The Aces power play went 0-4, while the Condors went 0-4. Alaska was outshot by Bakersfield 29-28 in the game.

The Aces finish their eight-game road trip with a rematch with the Condors on Saturday night.
