Nick Tuzzolino Named All-ECHL 2nd Team

West Valley City, Utah - The ECHL announced today that Utah defenseman Nick Tuzzolino has been named to the league's All-ECHL 2nd Team for the 2012-2013 season.

Tuzzolino leads ECHL defensemen with .837 points-per-game and is fourth among league defensemen with 31 assists and is sixth with 36 points. His 21 power-play assists lead league blue-liners and he is second with 23 power-play points. He has added one goal in 14 games with Abbotsford of the American Hockey League.

The Buffalo, New York native, currently under contract with the AHL's Abbotsford Heat, the top affiliate of the Calgary Flames; is in his third year with the Grizzlies and has spent time in the American Hockey League each of the past three seasons.

He has played more games than any other Utah player the last three seasons and ranks 29th all-time in scoring by a Utah Grizzlies player and four all-time in scoring among Grizzlies defensemen with 19 goals and 68 assists for 87 points in 148 games.

Tuzzolino was selected by the New York Islanders in the seventh round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

The Grizzlies return home Friday and Saturday to host Colorado. It is Fan Appreciation Weekend, that includes a post-game skate with the team after Saturday's game for the regular season home finale. In addition, Saturday's game will include a team poster giveaway.
