Fans Saluted at Stockton Arena on "Fan Appreciation" Event this Saturday, March 30

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, a two time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," is scheduled to host "Fan Appreciation Night" at Stockton Arena this Saturday against the Idaho Steelheads, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

An annual event to salute Thunder fans for their loyalty in the eighth season of hockey in the Central Valley, the night offers fans in attendance an opportunity to take home a variety of memorabilia and prizes.

This season, the Thunder has welcomed ten crowds of 6,000 fans or more to Stockton Arena and another large crowd is expected for the final regular season game.

Prizes will be awarded to lucky fans at the game throughout the evening, including one-of-a-kind elite sports memorabilia, outdoor barbeque grills, restaurant gift cards and more. Fans can enter for free by submitting a raffle form at the Thunder raffle table (located on the Fan Deck) during the game. Forms will be available as fans enter through the doors of Stockton Arena.

In addition, fans can take home one of ten extremely limited Thunder autographed caricature art pieces designed by the House of Doodle, available for silent auction throughout the game. Proceeds will benefit a local children's charity of House of Doodle's choice.

Individual caricature artwork to be offered includes Garet Hunt, Ryan Constant, Shawn Weller, Tyler Bunz, mascot "Thor" (team signed) and more.

At the end of Saturday's regular season finale, fans are invited to stay for the annual Thunder awards ceremony, when Thunder players will be awarded Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Fan Favorite and more with the awards presented by select Thunder Season Ticket Holders.

Fans are asked to vote for the Thunder "Fan Favorite" award by submitting votes to the Thunder Facebook page, www.facebook.com/StocktonThunder through midnight on Thursday.

A two time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," the Thunder led the ECHL in attendance for four consecutive seasons and drew over 200,000 fans for the seventh consecutive season in 2011-12.
