All-ECHL Second Team Announced

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Thursday announced its All-ECHL Second Team for 2012-13 as determined in a vote of ECHL coaches, broadcasters, media relations directors and media, who were asked to select a goaltender, two defensemen and three forwards.

2012-13 All-ECHL Second Team

G - Mark Guggenberger, Alaska Aces (38 gp, 24-8-5, 2.21 GAA, .918 save pct.)

D - Adam Comrie, Reading Royals (45 gp, 17g, 16a, 33 pts., +22) D - Nick Tuzzolino, Utah Grizzlies (43 gp, 5g, 31a, 36 pts., -5)

F - Kyle Kraemer, Ontario Reign (69 gp, 30g, 41a, 71 pts., +26) F - Nick Mazzolini, Alaska Aces (68 gp, 36g, 35a, 71 pts., +13)

F - Colton Yellow Horn, Ontario Reign (48 gp, 36g, 22a, 58 pts., +16)

The ECHL will announce the Community Service Award and Sportsmanship Award winners on Friday.

Mark Guggenberger of the Alaska Aces is third in the ECHL with a 2.21 goals-against average, tied for fourth with 24 wins and tied for fifth with a .918 save percentage. He ranks ninth with 2,254 minutes played and is tied for fourth with three shutouts.

Adam Comrie of the Reading Royals leads all defensemen with 17 goals, despite being loaned to Worcester of the American Hockey League and not playing in the ECHL since Feb. 2. He is tied for the 11th among blue-liners with 33 points and his five game-winning goals are tops among defensemen. Comrie has nine points (2g-7a) in 16 games with Worcester.

Nick Tuzzolino of the Utah Grizzlies is fourth among defensemen with 31 assists and is tied for sixth with 36 points. His 21 power-play assists are tops among league blue-liners and he is second with 23 power-play points. He has added one goal in 14 games with Abbotsford of the American Hockey League.

Kyle Kraemer of the Ontario Reign leads the club with 71 points, which is tied for seventh in the ECHL. He ranks sixth in the league with 30 goals and is fourth in plus-minus at +26.

Nick Mazzolini of the Alaska Aces is tied for the league lead with 36 goals while he is tied for fifth with 71 points. He is tied for the ECHL lead with four shorthanded goals and is second with nine game-winning goals.

Colton Yellow Horn of the Ontario Reign shares the league lead with 36 goals and has a league-leading 10 game-winning goals. He was named ECHL Player of the Month for January and has added 15 points (6g-9a) in 19 games with Manchester of the American Hockey League.
