From the Notes

The Man-ess in Charge: Seth Maness is on the bump for Nashville this afternoon and that means good things for Nashville. In the six games Maness has started, the Sounds are 5-1. Maness has 2 quality starts and is averaging 80.3 pitches and 54.8 strikes in his 6 outings. Maness has been the benefactor of solid run support as the Sounds have scored 6.4 runs per game in his starts.

Pushing to 110,000 at the Gates: Today's game represents the 13th opening when it comes to attendance figures. In the first 12 opening of the homestand, 103,532 people have passed through the gates of First Tennessee Park, an average of 8,627. Sunday's attendance needs to be at least 6,468 to get to the 110,000 mark for the homestand.

Davidson Gets to 10 Multi-Hit Games: Matt Davidson was the lone Sound to collect a multi-hit game last night. Davidson went 2-for-3 with a walk and now has 10 multi-hit games. He is the fifth Sound player to get to 10 multi-hit games in 2019, joining Zack Granite (15), Andy Ibáñez (12), Carlos Tocci (11) and Hunter Cole (10).

9 Straight for Davidson: With Davidson's 2 hits and 1 walk last night, he extended his on-base streak to 9 games - his longest of the season. He's hitting .258 (8-for-31) with 6 runs scored, 2 doubles, 2 home runs, 8 RBI and 9 walks with a .439 on-base percentage during the streak.

Don't Shut Me Out: Nashville was shut out for the fifth time in 2019 last night. The five shutouts is tied for the most in the Pacific Coast League with Oklahoma City. Nashville is the only team in the PCL to not have a shutout win on their ledger.

Coming to a Close: The 13-game homestand comes to a close today with Nashville's record at 5-7. In the first 12 games, the Sounds are hitting .254 (105-for-413) and scoring 5.25 runs per game (63 R/12 G). Meanwhile, Nashville's pitching staff owns a 5.38 ERA (112.0 IP/67 ER) with 39 walks and 107 strikeouts. The Sounds have hit 12 home runs total in the span, with two coming from Hunter Cole, Matt Davidson and Andy Ibáñez each.
