
Chasers Stomp San Antonio 7-2

Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 1, 2019) - Catcher Nick Dini drove in 4 runs, while starter Arnaldo Hernandez tossed 6 shutout innings in the Chasers' 7-2 victory over the Missions on Saturday night at Wolff Stadium.
After a scoreless opening frame, the Chasers opened the scoring in the second when C Nick Dini (2-4, HR, 4 RBI) cranked his sixth homerun on a fly ball to left field scoring LF Elier Hernandez (1-3, 2 R, RBI) and 1B Samir Duenez (2-4, 2 R, RBI). In the top of the third, the Storm Chasers add on when 2B Erick Mejia (1-3, R, RBI, BB), Elier Hernandez, and Duenez all drive in a run each. Dini wasn't finished for the night as he doubled to center field to score Duenez in the top of the sixth. The Missions wouldn't go away quietly. RF Michael O'Neill (1-3, RBI) singled to drive in one run and DH Travis Shaw (0-3, RBI) hit a sac fly to score their second and final run of the contest.
Arnaldo Hernandez (6 IP, 3 H, BB, K) earned his first victory of the season, lefty Tim Hill (1 IP, 3 K) had a 1-2-3 seventh, and Andres Machado (2 IP, 5 H, 2R, 2 ER, BB) finished out the game. Former Kansas City Royals, now Missions right-hander Burch Smith (5 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 3 BB, 4 K, HR) suffered the loss.
Omaha wraps up their four-game road trip in San Antonio on Sunday afternoon, with first pitch scheduled for 2:05pm CT.
Following that road series and a Monday off day, Omaha returns to Werner Park to start a seven- game homestand featuring the Albuquerque Isotopes and El Paso Chihuahuas. First pitch for Tuesday night's series opener versus the Isotopes is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.
