Myles Bell Earns ECHL All-Star Game Selection

PRINCETON, N.J. The ECHL announced on Thursday that forward, Myles Bell of the Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, has been named to the ECHL's All-Star team for the league's All-Star Game coming up on Jan. 21. A rookie out of Calgary, AB, Bell becomes the fifth player in IceMen team history to named to an All-Star team at the Double-A level.
Brian Bicek earned the team's first All-Star nod in the CHL. Todd Robinson, and Matt Gens were elected to the CHL All-Star team in 2011-12. Nathan Moon represented the IceMen as the team's All-Star in each of the IceMen's first two years in the ECHL.
Bell has netted eight goals and dished out seven assists in 24 games with the IceMen so far this season. The rookie potted three goals to earn his first career hat trick in the IceMen's 6-3 win over Wheeling. Bell scored his first two professional goals in his second game with the IceMen on Halloween night against the Indy Fuel.
Drafted by the New Jersey Devils with the 160th overall pick of the 2013 NHL Draft, Bell was recalled to the Albany Devils on Dec.30. The former sixth round pick remains of the Albany roster and could miss the All-Star game in Orlando as the Devils have a game scheduled on Jan. 21, the same day as the All-Star game.
The ECHL All-Star Game, presented by Visit Orlando, will be played on Jan.21 at the Amway Center. The game will be available on ECHL TV and will feature a format shift as all-stars from around the league will battle the Orlando Solar Bears.
Evansville will take a trip through the Central Division when they visit Missouri on Friday night and Wichita on Saturday and Sunday. Fans can watch all three games at Bar Louie, the Official Watch Party Destination of the Evansville IceMen. Friday and Saturday's games will begin at 7:05 with Sunday's game starting at 5:05 p.m.
Sunday's IceMen game will not be heard on ESPN Evansville 105.3 as normal due to the Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos playoff game. Fans can still hear the broadcast on ECHL TV and www.espnevansville.com.
The IceMen will return to home ice when they host the Cincinnati Cyclones on Saturday Jan. 17. Evansville will try to use the force to defeat the dark side (Cincinnati) at the IceMen's annual Star Wars night.
Single game tickets are on sale now for all games including Star Wars Night at the Ford Center Box Office Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m and after noon on game days.
