ECHL Announces Fine, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Thursday announced the following fine and suspensions.

Allen's Clarke suspended

Allen's Garrett Clarke has been suspended for six additional games as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #862, Rapid City at Allen, on Jan. 2.

Clarke was assessed a match penalty for illegal check to the head under Rule #48.5 at 9:36 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Clarke missed Allen's games against Wichita on Jan. 4 and at Missouri on Jan. 6. He will miss Allen's games vs. Missouri (Jan. 10 and Jan. 11), vs. Wichita (Jan. 16 and Jan. 17), vs. Missouri (Jan. 19) and at Indy (Jan. 23).

Idaho's Robinson fined, suspended

Idaho's Brett Robinson has been suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #328, Idaho at Colorado, on Jan. 4.

Robinson was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #53.4 at 2:16 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Robinson will miss Idaho's games vs. Alaska (Jan. 10 and Jan. 11), vs. Utah (Jan. 13 and Jan. 14) and vs. Ontario (Jan. 16).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
