Indy Fuel News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced Thursday that Fuel defenseman Nick Bruneteau has been selected as a 2015 ECHL All-Star alternate and will appear in the CCM/ECHL All-Star Game presented by Visit Orlando, should a selected player be unable to appear at the January 21st clash between the host team, the Orlando Solar Bears, and the ECHL All-Stars at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
A 5'10", 182 lb. right-handed shooting blue-liner and native of Omaha, Nebraska, Bruneteau has two goals to his credit so far this season, currently leads Indy defensemen with 16 points and leads all Fuel skaters with 14 assists in 25 appearances thus far in his first full professional season.
Prior to his time with the Fuel, Bruneteau, 22, appeared in five regular season games and one playoff contest for the Reading Royals at the conclusion of the 2013-14 campaign following four seasons in the collegiate ranks with the University of Vermont from 2010 to 2014.
