Kalamazoo Wings News Release
KALAMAZOO- Forward Curtis Valk will represent the Kalamazoo Wings in the 2015 ECHL All-Star Classic. The game will occur on Wednesday, January 21st from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
A perfect selection to represent the K-Wings, Valk leads the team in goals (11) and points (26). The all-star nomination adds to an already impressive rookie campaign for Valk. In October, Valk was named the CCM/ECHL Player of the Month.
Valk is a prospect of the Vancouver Canucks. Leading by example, Valk was an alternate captain two seasons ago and a team captain last year for the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League. During the 2012-13 season, Valk tallied 91 points (46 goals, 45 assists) in 71 contests.
Valk's offensive prowess continued the following season where he set a personal career-best with 92 points (47 goals, 45 assists) in 72 games. In five seasons with the Tigers, Valk posted 255 points (125 goals, 130 assists) in 270 games.
