MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed goalie Joe Howe to a professional try out agreement (PTO) for the second time this season. He will be available for tonight's game against Providence, wearing number one.

Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough made the announcement.

Howe, 24, was signed by the Monarchs to a PTO on Jan. 5 and released on Jan. 12 without appearing in a game. He has combined for a 4-3-0-2 record, a 3.40 goals against average and a .889 save percentage in 10 games this season between Reading (2 games) and Utah (8 games) of the ECHL. The Colorado College product was traded to Reading from Utah on Dec. 20. He spent his first year as a pro with the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones in 2013-14, going 10-3-4 with a 2.78 GAA and .907 save percentage. The Plymouth, MN native earned Academic All-WCHA honors on three occasions while at Colorado College.

The Monarchs will host the Bruins tonight (7 p.m.) on LA Kings Night. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive an Alec Martinez "bobble-hands" and the Monarchs will wear Kings-inspired throwback jerseys.
