LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have recalled goaltender J.F. Berube from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and placed forward Tyler Toffoli on injured reserve retroactive to Jan. 8, 2015, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

The 6-1, 177-pound native of Repentigny, Quebec., has appeared in 80 career AHL games, all with Manchester (AHL). Currently in his fourth season with the Monarchs, he has posted a 49-24-7 record with a 2.35 GAA and .912 SV% in his career with five shutouts. He has yet to appear in an NHL game.

Selected in the fourth-round (95th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Kings, Berube has appeared in 27 games this season with Manchester (AHL), posting a 19-4-5 record with a 2.05 GAA and .920 SV% and two shutouts. At the time of his recall, among league-leaders, he ranked first in wins, fifth in GAA, third in minutes played (1,608) and ninth in saves (633).

Berube will wear number 35, the first Kings player to wear that number since Jason LaBarbera (Oct. 2005-Dec. 2008).

To make room for Berube on the roster, forward Toffoli has been placed on injured reserve with mononucleosis, retroactive Jan. 8, 2015. Follow the Kings Communications Department on Twitter (@LAKingsPR).
