
Bulldogs Sign Sahir Gill to Pro Try out Contract

MONTREAL, QUE. - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Bulldogs have signed forward Sahir Gill to a professional try out contract. He is expected to play tonight as the 'Dogs take on the Grand Rapids Griffins at FirstOntario Centre at 7 p.m.
Gill has split this season between the Bulldogs, the American Hockey League's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers. In one game with Hamilton, the 22-year-old has recorded no points or penalty minutes. In 12 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the 5-10, 178-pound forward has recorded three points (one goal, two assists). In 15 games with Wheeling, the Terrace, B.C. native has recorded 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) and four penalty minutes.
Gill also spent the entire 2013-14 season - his first as a professional - with the Nailers. In 67 regular season games with Wheeling, he recorded 54 points (13 goals, 41 assists) and 26 penalty minutes. Before turning pro, he spent three seasons (2010 to 2013) with the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Boston University Terriers. In 117 career games with Boston University, he recorded 78 points (28 goals, 50 assists) and 55 penalty minutes.
