December 17, 2008 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Manchester Monarchs News Release
MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, will be hosting a Holiday Celebration Night when the team goes head-to-head with the Hamilton Bulldogs on December 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena.
The first 2,000 fans that come to the Monarchs game on December 19 will receive a Max holiday ornament. In addition, fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears to the game or purchase one from the Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Monarchs, for the team's annual Teddy Bear Toss during the second intermission. Rock 101's Greg Kretschmar from The Morning Buzz will be hosting the Teddy Bear Toss while Max and Santa collect the bears from the ice. Following the game, Laura from The Morning Buzz will deliver the teddy bears to the Easter Seals, Child and Family Services, Families In Transition, Manchester Police, Manchester Fire, The Salvation Army, DCYF, Manchester Aids Project, Hillsborough County Sheriffs Department and CHaD's David's House for children in need this holiday season.
The Monarchs are also asking fans to get into the holiday spirit by donning their ugliest and festive holiday sweaters to the game. If fans wish to part with their sweaters, the Monarchs Care Foundation will collect them post-game as a charitable contribution for the holiday season.
The Monarchs return to the MTS Centre for game two of their back-to-back series with the Manitoba Moose for an 8:30 p.m. face-off on Wednesday, December 17.
