Admirals to Hold Holiday Ornament Auction on Friday

NORFOLK - The Norfolk Admirals wives and girlfriends will hold a holiday ornament auction to benefit The Joy Fund on Friday night during the Admirals game against the Albany River Rats.

Custom-designed ornaments will be up for auction Friday night near Gate 14 on the Scope concourse. The ornaments were designed by the Admirals wives and girlfriends and are personalized to reflect the interests and personalities of Admirals and Lightning players.

The Admirals will hold the silent auction on Friday night near Gate 14 on the Scope Concourse through the second intermission. All proceeds will go to the Joy Fund. For more information on The Joy Fund, please visit www.thevirginianpilot.com/joyfund.

Acceptable payments are cash, Visa, MasterCard or checks payable to The Joy Fund.

The Admirals' five-game homestand concludes this week with a pair of games against the Albany River Rats. The puck drops against the AHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes tonight and Friday night at 7:15.

Tonight's game will be Student Rush Night and Family Fun Pack Night. With Student Rush Nights, students in high school and college may purchase $8 white level tickets by presenting their school IDs at the Scope Box Office after 2:00 p.m. on the day of the game.
