SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League announced today that Milwaukee Admirals center Cal O'Reilly has been named the Rbk/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending February 3, 2008. O'Reilly tallied one goal and five assists for six points to go with a plus-3 rating in two Milwaukee wins.
On Friday night, O'Reilly earned first-star honors in a 5-4 victory over Chicago, scoring the game-winning goal and recording two assists. On Saturday, he came back with three assists, including one on the winning goal, as the visiting Admirals defeated Peoria, 7-3. They were the third and fourth three-point games of the season for O'Reilly, who has 13 points during his current six-game scoring streak.
