HOME RUNNING
Chicago picked up its 17th win at home in front of 11.419 fans on Saturday, tied for third in the AHL; the Wolves, who play three of their next four matchups at the Allstate Arena, have registered a 17-6-0-0 mark on home ice this year, outscoring opponents, 85-64.
WOLVES HEADLINERS
--- ALEXANDRE GIROUX: Matched a season-high two goals twice last week and has registered 11 points (8G, 3A) in his last seven outings ... Ranks second on the team with 16 goals and fifth with 34 points ... Appeared in just 35 of the Wolves' 46 games this season due to the AHL's veteran rule ... Placed second in the league with a career-high 42 goals and led the Hershey Bears with a career-most 70 points in 67 contests last season
--- JASON KROG: Tallied a point in four straight tilts, collecting seven points (2G, 5A) during that span ... Leads the AHL with 45 assists and 67 points and shares fifth with 22 goals in 46 games ... Shares 10th on Chicago's all-time list with 99 assists and ranks 12th with 147 points in just 90 career games over two seasons
--- DARREN HAYDAR: Recorded 26 points (8G, 18A) in 19 games with the Wolves this season, an average of 1.37 per contest, which includes three assists in two tilts last week ... --- ONDREJ PAVELEC: Notched 25 saves on 27 shots on Saturday against Rockford to earn his 16th win of the season, which ranks second among AHL rookie goaltenders ... Held opponents to two or fewer goals seven times ... Registered a 3.26 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage in 24 outings this season
--- BRYAN LITTLE: Netted eight points (3G, 5A) in his last eight outings, which includes a short-handed goal and an assist in two tilts last week ... Racked up nine helpers and 15 points in 21 games with Chicago this season ... Made his NHL debut with the Atlanta Thrashers to start the year, collecting three goals and six assists in 29 matchups
--- JOEL KWIATKOWSKI: Shares first among AHL defensemen with 13 goals and ranks third with 35 points in 44 outings ... Paces the club and shares fourth in the AHL with 10 power-play markers, tied for second-most in a single season by a Wolves blueliner ... GIRLS NIGHT OUT
The Wolves will host their second annual "Hockey For Her" fundraising event, sponsored by Rush North Shore Medical Center, at the Hoffman Estates Park District Community Center and Ice Arena on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The event will provide women, ages 18 and up, an introductory glance at the sport of hockey by giving them the chance to go behind the scenes of a professional team.
