
Flames Host Aeros, Rivermen And Hogs This Week

Moline, IL- The Flames play three home games this week vs. West Division opponents. The week begins with a Wednesday night clash vs. the Houston Aeros. It's the third consecutive game for the Flames vs. Houston following a weekend split with the Aeros in Houston. It's also the debut of Wild Wednesday as fans can purchase upper bowl tickets for just $5 and 12-ounce draft beers for $2. On Friday, the Peoria Rivermen visit while Triple I Sports Cards gives away a special "Flames Firsts" Trading Card Set. The weekend wraps up with a game vs. the Rockford IceHogs and a visit from the San Francisco 49ers Cheerleaders presented by Diamonds on the Avenue.

The Flames return to The Blackbear Lounge at The Lodge tonight at 6:00 p.m. Scott Allen, Carsen Germyn, Adam Pardy and Gerry Burke will join host Aaron Roof. The show can also be heard on 93.9 FM WYEC.

Triple I Sports Cards is giving away a five card "Flames Firsts" Trading Card Set to fans prior to a game vs. Peoria on February 8th. The game also marks the first opportunity for fans to purchase the Quad City Flames' Inaugural Season Trading Card Set. The game also marks the Flames' Scout Night. Quad City Flames Booster Club Taco Dinner

The Flames Booster Club is hosting a taco dinner on Saturday night at the Quad City Sports Center. The fun begins at 5:00 p.m. and Flames players will be on hand to greet fans.
San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleader Appearance presented by Diamond on the Avenue
Sunday, February 10th vs. Rockford at 5:05 p.m.

The San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleaders are visiting the i wireless Center courtesy of Diamonds on the Avenue on Sunday, February 10th. The cheerleading team will perform prior to the game and during the first intermission. They will also be signing autographs during the game and the second intermission.
Flames Booster Club Bus Trip
Friday, February 15th vs. Rockford at 7:30 p.m. at The Rockford Metrocentre

The Flames are participating in Hockey Across America Weekend on Saturday, February 16th and Sunday, February 17th. Saturday is "Bring a Friend to the Rink Day" as fans are offered a free ticket for every ticket they purchase at the i wireless Center Box Office. On Sunday, fans under 18 years of age will receive complimentary tickets.
Flames Teddy Bear Toss
Saturday, February 16th vs. San Antonio at 7:05 p.m.

The Flames are hosting a teddy bear toss on Saturday, February 16th vs. San Antonio. Fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed bear to the game to toss on to the ice following the Flames first goal. The bears will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House, Bethany for Children and Families and Family Resources in the Quad Cities.

Flames On WYEC 93.9 FM
The Flames game broadcasts can be heard on FM radio as 93.9 FM WYEC will carry all 80 games, all playoff appearances and the Flames weekly radio show. This week's games will be preceded by the Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show beginning 25 minutes prior to face-off. After the game, stay tuned for the Kinetic Fitness Post-Game Show. The Flames Forum returns to the air tonight at 6:00 p.m.

Friday, February 1st - Quad City Flames 4 at Houston Aeros 3 Shootout
The Flames kicked off the post All-Star Game portion of their 2007-08 schedule with a 4-3 shootout win over Houston on Friday night. Krys Kolanos scored twice while Grant Stevenson added a solo marker to extend his scoring streak to 12 games. Krys Kolanos scored the only goal of the opening period to give Quad City a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes. Kolanos received a cross-ice feed from Carsen Germyn and buried a chance from near the bottom of the right wing circle for his 19th goal of the year. The Aeros kicked off a five-goal second period with a goal by Marco Rosa at 1:56 of the middle frame. Rosa took a feed off the wall from Adrian Foster and deposited the goal for his fourth tally of the year. Kolanos put the Flames back in front with his 20th on a blast from between the right wing circle and the blueline at 7:01 of the second period. Kolanos' tally began a stretch where the teams combined for four goals in four minutes and 53 seconds. Grant Stevenson netted his 25th goal of the year during a Flames power play at 9:55 of the second. Stevenson's tally put the Flames in front 3-1 before a pair of Aeros goal tied the game at the end of two. Peter Kalus scored on a feed from the end wall by Ryan Hamilton to cut the Flames lead to one. Adrian Foster tied the game 1:46 later when he netted his 11th goal of the season. The wild second frame ended with the game knotted a three. Stevenson recorded a goal and an assist in the middle frame to extend his scoring streak to 12 games. The Flames forward has 22 points (13 goals and nine assists) during the streak. After a scoreless third period and overtime, the teams headed to a shootout. Tomi Maki scored in the second round, and Krys Kolanos scored in the third frame to give Quad City a 2-0 edge after three rounds. Marco Rosa scored in the fourth round to extend the shootout, but Matt Keetley stopped the final Aeros shooter to earn the Flames a 4-3 victory. .
Saturday, February 2nd - Quad City Flames 1 at Houston Aeros 3
The Flames finished off a five game road trip with a heartbreaking 3-1 loss to Houston on Saturday night. Krys Kolanos scored with just 2:13 left to tie the game, but the Aeros scored twice in the final 1:08 to secure the victory. The teams will face off again on Wednesday at the i wireless Center in the third match of a three game set. The Aeros claimed a 1-0 lead in the first period when Peter Olvecky scored on a goal-mouth scramble during a Houston power play. Brandon Rogers earned the lone assist on the tally which held up as the only goal of the opening period. The teams skated scoreless through the second period and the first 17:47 of the third before exploding for a combined three goals in the final 2:13. Krys Kolanos started the offensive outburst by scoring his 21st goal of the season from a sharp angle to tie the game at one. Grant Stevenson drew the lone assist on the goal to extend his scoring streak to 13 games, the third longest scoring streak in the league this year. Kolanos' goal quieted a rowdy Houston crowd, but Marco Rosa brought them back to their feet with a goal just 65 seconds later. Rosa scored his fifth goal of the season on a goal-mouth scramble with 1:08 left in regulation. The Aeros added an empty netter as Joel Ward scored as time expired to set the final at 3-1.
