Mighty Ducks, Severson Agree on One-Year Deal

CINCINNATI, OHIO - The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim have re-signed left wing Cam Severson to a one-year deal.

The 25-year-old Severson accepted the team's qualifying offer. He was a restricted free agent subject to draft choice compensation and right to match.

Severson had 12 goals and nine assists with 156 penalty minutes in 71 games with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks of the American Hockey League last season. The 6-foot-1, 222-pounder also appeared in two games with Anaheim, going scoreless. He made his NHL debut March 30 against Vancouver.

Severson was San Jose's sixth choice, 192nd overall, in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. The Canora, Saskatchewan native has played in 164 career AHL games, recording 27 goals and 26 assists with 343 penalty minutes.
