Admirals Invade Canada

Milwaukee Admirals Executive Vice President/General Manager Phil Wittliff announced that as a part of the Admirals 2003-04 schedule format released today by the American Hockey League, the team will play a franchise record eight games in Canada. The schedule also includes the continuation of games against long-time rivals, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Houston Manitoba and Utah.

The Admirals will make their first ever visit to St. John's, Newfoundland and Toronto, Ontario next season with two games in each of those cities. The St. John's Maple Leafs and Toronto Roadrunners will also make their first appearance at the Bradley Center with two games scheduled for each team in Milwaukee. The team also plays in Hamilton, Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba for two games each against the Hamilton Bulldogs and Manitoba Moose.

Milwaukee is part of the revamped seven-team West Division of the Western Conference of the AHL this season. Milwaukee will play 56 of their 80 games against teams from their own division. The other six teams in the West Division include Chicago, Grand Rapids, Houston, Utah, San Antonio and Cincinnati. All but two games will be played against Western Conference foes. The only journey out of the conference will be to Philadelphia to play the Phantoms. The Flyers top developmental affiliate will also visit the Bradley Center during the upcoming season.

Syracuse Crunch - 2 games (1/1)

The AHL will be split into four divisions with two divisions in each of two conferences (Eastern and Western). The top five teams from each division will qualify for the playoffs.

The Admirals home opener of the 2003-04 campaign will take place on Friday, October 10th at the Bradley Center. The opponent and time will be announced along with the entire schedule in early August.
