LINCOLN -- After two middle-inning lead changes and a seventh-inning equalizer, the Wichita Wingnuts (65-31) got the game-winner on a two-out double in the eighth to beat the Saltdogs (48-48) 5-4 in front of 4,248 fans at Haymarket Park Thursday night.
With the score tied at 4-4, Jared McDonald stroked a two-out pitch down the right field line to plate the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth.

The Saltdogs fell behind 1-0 after three, then took the lead with a three-run rally in the bottom of the fifth.
Wichita plated three runs for itself in the top of the sixth, and Curt Smith tied the game with a RBI single up the middle in the seventh.
The 'Dogs have now dropped six in a row, and are back to .500 for the first time since mid-May.
Lincoln looks to avoid the sweep Friday night in their home finale at 7:05 p.m. Radio coverage begins at 6:35 p.m. on KFOR 1240.
