Don't Take It Personal: Saints Give Fans a Chance to Get Personal Seat License at August 31 Game
August 30, 2013 - American Association (AA)
St. Paul Saints News Release
ST. PAUL, MN (August 30, 2013) - St. Paul Saints fans better be prepared to stand in a long line because only the select few will have a chance to get their hands on a personal seat license. That's right, the Saints are following suit with all the other teams around the country and forcing fans to take a seat license. Whether you've been a fan of the team for the 2013 season or for the last 21 seasons, the club feels it's time to give in to the norm.
When the Saints take on the Sioux City Explorers on Saturday, August 31 for a 7:05 p.m. game at Midway Stadium only the first 1,000 people who enter the gates will have the opportunity to collect the coveted seat license. Whether you put it on the back of your seat, in your lap or display it proudly in your hands fans will need this license.
Teams across the major sports landscape and into the college ranks have forced their fans to purchase these seat licenses for the opportunity to purchase their season ticket. While those personal seat licenses are barely more than a piece of paper the Saints personal seat license will come with the "S-A-I-N-T-S" across the middle with the state of Minnesota on the license. In the bottom left hand corner will be the Month of May, while in the bottom right hand corner will be the year 2015. It's no secret the Saints will move into the Lowertown Ballpark that year and teams that move into new digs always have a personal seat license.
"Yes it's true, we are moving forward with the personal seat license," said Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Derek Sharrer. "We hope all of our fans understand why we had to do this. This is the Saints way."
Tickets for all Saints regular season home games are available in person at the Saints Box Office, by phone at 651-644-6659 or online at saintsbaseball.com. Tickets for Saints regular season home games are $5 for general admission, $8 for outfield reserved and $12 for infield reserved. Tickets purchased on the Day of the Game are an additional $1 per ticket. Tickets to the September 1 Fireworks Super Show are an additional $3. Children under the age of 14 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price. Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.
